Day 2 - Circumnavigation 2025

Hello everyone, it is time for another update. Today was almost entirely spent aboard a Fiji Airways 737 from Honolulu to Nadi via Christmas Island. Total time on board ended up being just over 9 hours, and yes if you are wondering that is too long to be on a 737.

I've attached some photos from the journey below, it was quite a scenic flight for being over the Ocean 99% of the time.

Immigration and customs at Nadi was relatively easy, but I do suggest they invest in the digital passport scanners or at least more employees.

I also think exiting customs I accidentally followed out some sort of local hero returning home. There was a giant crowd with children singing, along with a hoard of photographers. Tomorrow I am going to look for myself in the local newspapers.

Following a mildly terrifying taxi ride to the hotel and some extremely friendly hotel staff, including putting a shell necklace around my neck (you can imagine how much I enjoyed that) I finally made it to my room.

The room is really quite nice and makes me wish I was staying here longer, definitely somewhere I will want to come back to.

After getting some emergency work done I ventured out into the resort grounds. Like a moth to a flame, I found a quick service restaurant that sells margherita pizza and had a quick dinner before retiring back to my room to get some more work done and get to sleep. Tomorrow should be a relatively easy day as I head to Sydney.
